| Margaret Harmon Miss Margaret Harmon, 17, of Shelbyville, Tenn., played relentless par golf and defeated Miss Kaye Beard, also 17, 3 and 2, at the Flint Golf Club, Flint, Mich. Miss Beard took an early lead with two birdies and went 2 up. Miss Harmon gradually went ahead by scoring 14 consecutive pars, a birdie at the 15th, and another par at the 16th. The medalist was 15-year-old Miss Nancy Hager, of Dallas, who scored 147 for 36 holes and set a new qualifying record. The total entry reached 130, setting a record. |

Girls' Junior PAR AND YARDAGE – For the U.S. Girls’ Junior, Trump National Golf Club’s Old Course will play at 6,203 yards and a par of 36-36—72. The New Course will play at 6,186/6,289 yards and a par of 36-36—72. COURSE SETUP – The USGA Course Rating® and USGA Slope Rating® for the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship are 77.1/146 (Old Course) and 78.1/148 (New Course). ADMISSION – Admission is free. Tickets are not needed for this USGA championship and spectators are encouraged to attend. ARCHITECT – Trump National Golf Club’s Old Course was designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 2004. The New Course was designed by Tom Fazio II (Tom’s nephew) and opened in 2008. SCHEDULE OF PLAY: ENTRIES – A record 999 contestants entered the 2009 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, surpassing the 929 entries in 2008.
